Hi, I'm Matt Harding, the Detroit-based photographer, writer and filmmaker whose website you're on. Here, you can hire me and/or buy stuff, or just look through my many years of work.
As a photographer, I shoot a wide array of subjects, but mainly landscapes, cityscapes and events. While I've mostly shot digitally, the brunt of my recent work is focused on various film formats, including 4x5, Polaroids and 35mm. You can buy fine art prints from me directly or visit my Saatchi Art page to browse. I'm also available for commissioned work. In 2020, I founded a photo gallery and studio called auburn art gallery, which I operated until 2022.
My background is in journalism and I'm currently the News & Features Editor of RePlay, a trade magazine covering the coin-operated amusements industry. From 2021-23, I was the publisher and editor of American West, a travel magazine focused on the country's largest region. We published four issues in print; the fifth and final issue was a digital-only effort. I was also the city government and business reporter for the Yuma Sun from 2016-17 and have freelanced on numerous projects over the years. You can see more in my resume (click here).
